CandorBrief is AI-free: the professional chooses what information and prompts to share, and you choose whether to use them and which AI tool to use. CandorBrief does not send this profile, your notes, or a copied prompt to an AI service.
I built CandorBrief because I was living it.
In early 2026 I was laid off, and I am still going through many of the same things you may be: applications that disappear, systems that reduce a career to keywords, and a process where everyone starts to look the same on paper.
I built CandorBrief for myself first, to have a better way to share my professional experience without handing over control of my story. As I worked through the design and the features, I realized I had to make it available to other people in the same boat.
And I had to make a free version. Job searching is hard enough without another required subscription, an AI API key, or a tool that puts your work behind a paywall. That is why CandorBrief Free is meant to be complete and genuinely useful for everyone.
Since then I have been focusing on vibe-coding away the pain points I run into and offering the solutions to other people. CandorBrief is one of them.
